Tierra Verde Industries (TVI) is a green waste, wood waste, and construction & demolition materials recycler.

On April 15, 2009 Tierra Verde switched from potable water to recycled water in their composting process. This switch has saved over 37 million gallons of potable water through early 2017. Their efforts to offset the demands for valuable drinking water has helped keep water costs down for all IRWD customers and helps ensure reliable water supplies into the future.

TVI accepts these feedstocks and after processing, produces over 20 different green waste and wood waste based products for landscaping, gardening, and agricultural use.

Among the products TVI manufactures are:

  • Compost
  • Topsoil
  • Planter mix
  • Green waste and wood waste mulches
  • Wood fines for tree farms
  • Designer colored wood chips
  • Bodyguard playground fall protection chips.

TVI has been operating in the City of Irvine for more than 20 years.
